Lime base coat
CS I · pure air-lime plaster without added cement
Base plaster as a vapour-permeable interior plaster with excellent sorption properties. Thanks to its ability to absorb and release moisture, gräfix 61 helps to regulate moisture levels on the wall surface.
When used as an exterior plaster, gräfix 61 must always be provided with a weather-resistant finish.

- For smooth substrates, gräfix 63 SB is required as a bonding primer
- Alternatively, roughen the surface with gräfix 66 HP
- Prime non-mineral substrates with gräfix 66 HP (rough finish)
- When applying with a rendering machine, do not use a Twister auger sleeve
- Mix one bag of gräfix 61 with approx. 6.7 litres of water
- Application must be carried out in multiple layers
- Plaster thickness: min. 6 mm to max. 15 mm per layer
- Coverage: approx. 77 m² per tonne at a plaster thickness of 10 mm
- Drying times: at least 1 day per mm of plaster thickness

Mineral coatings such as air lime plaster: a mainstay of building biology
Lime plaster is used in both new-build and renovation projects for residential properties. Purely mineral air lime plaster combines various properties relevant to building biology and building physics.
Its high open porosity and sorption properties enable the plaster to absorb and release moisture. This allows it to help regulate moisture levels on the wall surface.
Due to its high pH value, conditions are created on the surface that can inhibit the growth of mould. gräfix air lime plasters are free from synthetic solvents and are suitable for vapour-permeable mineral wall systems.
Trust through transparency
The gräfix lime range is based on a purely mineral formulation. The air lime plasters were tested in 2017 by the Institute for Building Biology and Sustainability (IBN) in Neubeuern.
