Mineral fixative
gräfix 697 is a thinner and primer for our gräfix mineral paints, consisting of specially formulated water glasses.
Mineral Fixativ is suitable for priming highly absorbent substrates as well as for consolidating sandy and friable substrates. It is also used for glazing mineral substrates and for thinning mineral paints.
Delivery: 1 and 10 litre containers

- Remove coatings that restrict adhesion
- etch new plaster surfaces or sintered layers with gräfix 699 SinterEx
- Can be diluted 1:1 to 1:3 with water
- Apply fixative by brushing, rolling or spraying
- Can be recoated: after 6 hours at the earliest
- Drying time: at least 12 hours, depending on weather conditions

The combination of selected inorganic colour pigments, mineral fillers and high-quality water glass gives gräfix mineral paints an extremely high protective function and durability to protect and preserve the building fabric. With great expressiveness, the lightfast colour pigments remain permanently stable and achieve an extraordinary depth of colour.
Thanks to the high pH value, biocidal and fungicidal additives as well as preservatives can be completely dispensed with. The gräfix mineral paint system works in a natural way against the formation of mould spores and ensures bacteria-free wall surfaces. Ideal for interiors and their pollutant-free indoor air.
