Lime insulating plaster

gräfix 61 DP

Lime insulation plaster

CS I · containing air lime and hydraulic Roman lime, without added cement

gräfix 61 DP is a capillary-active lime insulation plaster for interior use. Thanks to its sorption properties, the insulation plaster can absorb and release moisture, thereby helping to regulate moisture levels on the wall surface.

Insulation and moisture regulation can be combined in a single application. As it is applied over the entire surface, a largely joint-free layer of insulating plaster can be achieved.

For external use, gräfix 61 DP is available as a hydrophobic variant on request.

Mineral coatings such as air lime plaster: a mainstay of building biology

Lime plaster is used in both new-build and renovation projects for residential buildings. Purely mineral air lime plaster combines various properties relevant to building biology and building physics.

Thanks to its open-pored structure and sorption properties, lime plaster can absorb and release moisture. This enables it to help regulate moisture levels on the wall surface.

The high pH value creates conditions on the surface that can inhibit the growth of mould. gräfix air lime plasters are free from synthetic solvents and are suitable for vapour-permeable mineral wall systems.

Trust through transparency

The gräfix lime range is based on a purely mineral formulation. The air lime plasters were tested in 2017 by the Institute for Building Biology and Sustainability (IBN) in Neubeuern.
