Limestone powder
The natural limestone is ground into fine limestone powder by means of grinding and drying. Due to its high calcium carbonate content, gräfix limestone powder is versatile and can be used, for example, in glass production, in the metal industry and for air purification in environmental protection. The limestone powder can also be used to regulate the pH value in agriculture and forestry and is used in renaturalisation areas. Limestone powder is also used in the preparation of soils in earthworks, as a carrier of binders and fillers in asphalt production and as an additive in the production of concrete.

Lime and limestone powder for construction, industry and the environment
The use of hydrated lime in asphalt is an absolute advantage, resulting in stability, less rutting, in short: durable roads. According to American studies, the adhesion between the minerals and the binders as well as the ageing capacity (embrittlement) of the bituminous mortar and the ageing capacity (embrittlement) of the bituminous mortar are improved by adding hydrated lime to the asphalt. The use of limestone powder as a binder carrier for the production of bitumen-bound products is also extremely advantageous and also ensures greater stability and makes the compounds more resistant.
There are also many applications in the industrial sector, as well as innovations in the production of concrete and limestone as an additive. In the production of so-called eco-concretes, limestone powder can play a key role in reducing the greenhouse potential of concrete production.
