Lime

It has a wide range of applications: from agriculture, environmental protection and industrial applications to drinking water treatment. Its alkalinity ensures the binding of acid gases andCO2 as well as the deacidification of waste water. As a binding agent, lime is added to various building materials and its properties are improved in concrete.

Aggregates are crushed, sieved limestones that serve as versatile raw materials in construction and industry. With limestone aggregates, concrete achieves high compressive, flexural and splitting tensile strength. In road construction, several layers consist of limestone-aggregate mixtures.
